At least one dead and Five females shot in Richmond
Five females shot tonight in Richmond, including a baby. One victim is an adult, one is 15 years old, two are 14 years old and one is three months old, with serious injuries. Police says one person has died but did not say who.
Richmond Police says children were outside playing when the shooting call came in around 6:30 p.m. Someone returned gunfire at the gunman. It’s unknown if victims are related. Multiple kinds of shell casings found on scene.
Police says gunmen appeared in an apartment breezeway walkway and opened fire. Someone fired shots back, but no one has been arrestedstill on the loose. It appears that they were targeting a particular apartment, not necessarily people or individuals.
A Richmond police press release says something different than the chief. The release says two adult women and three people underage were shot. Chief told us earlier that one adult woman and four underage people were shot. We’ve learned it is an adult who died.
