At least 14 people wounded after attackers detonate explosives outside a packed Indonesia church

A suspected suicide bomber exploded at the gate of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cathedral in Makassar at 10.28 local time this morning while Palm Sunday mass was in session. No other casualties have been reported.

Police have not made any official statement regarding the explosion in Makassar but everyone in the cathedral have been fully evacuated and accounted for. Crime scene and disaster victim investigators have arrived to assess the incident.

There are reports and video footage circulating of an explosion on a Main Street near a Catholic church in Makassar. The footage as yet unverified looks like an IED explosion. Casualties likely if footage genuine.
